lift kit opinions

Currently my '66 is stock. I want to lift it but am not sure what to go with. I want to go high and I would prefer not to use a body lift. WH has a 5.5" kit with 4 shocks or 8 shocks. I read the "shocks" thread a minute ago and it shyed me away from 8 shocks due to the stiffness of the ride. I don't do any heavy offroading, but i do some. It is mostly a sunny day-joyriding bronco. Also, would 35" tires be too big? Suggestions...
Thanks

My sugestion- Since it is mostly a sunny day-joyriding bronco
3.5 inch suspension lift
7 degree wedges
1 inch dody lift
4 bilstien shocks
Gorilla flares- tucked up as high and streatched out ar far as you can
35 tires

Then just enjoy the truck

3.5 inch lift, will give you a lot less headaches with driveline angles, less castor problems, and will clear 35's no problem.

well the sky is the limit really 35's will fit great with a 5.5 lift and any of the vendors 5.5 kits are good I really favor the wild horses 5.5 though I would use the 8 shock kit but i would just use a softer shock keep in mind you need to lengthen your drive shafts too and if you plan to run 35's you'll want some power steering and power brakes too.

I am in the process of upgrading to disc brakes right now and power steering will probably be the next. I am just trying to figure out what I want so that when it is time to lift I will know what to get. Does WH have softer shocks for this application?

I would use the wild horses suspension with the new duff 70/30 shocks they have been getting good reviews about their ride quality
