just installed one for a guy last week. pretty nicely done, but you're right i don't know if it's worth $120.00. if you have no antirattle post on your tailgate, i could see it. otherwise i don't really see the point in having the lock there.

i think it's someone on here that makes those, and i'm not bashing their idea in any way. i'm just not sure why you'd want a lock there.

NicksTrix makes them. I think they are mainly intended for people not using their hard top.

?:? I think it works the other way around. For people who DO use their top. I wouldn't see a point in locking anything that you could just reach over as in a truck with no top ;D But you got the Nickstrix part right ;) ;D

I was under the impression that people with behind the seat storage and no top were going to use it. I also thought it was a "not so brilliant idea". But I guess I stand corrected. when you price out what each stainless part is new, which they are, add machine work, a lock cylinder and assembly time, it isn't all that much. 6 screws, 2 clips it's installed. a less than 5 minute job.

a number of owners expressed interest and purchased, so i guess they felt the need was there. i don't ask questions, i just make em. ;D

it is a slick set up on the older ford trucks that share the latch. with a locking tunnau cover or top it makes the rear of the truck secure.
