Main tank filler hose and body lift?

My Bronco has a 2" body lift and I need to replace the filler hose on the main tank. The hose that is on it now is too short and it pulls the filler neck hard enough to actually distort the quarter panel. I bought a hose from JBG that is supposed to be for lifted EB's but it is just a hose with what looks to be about a 30 deg bend in it. I don't see how that is supposed to even hook up much less solve my problem. Does anyone make a hose with a 2" offset? Or do you just buy a longer hose and hope it doesn't torque the sheet metal?

I think I just answered my own question. I checked JBG's on-line catalog and the hose I ordered should have worked. They sent me the wrong part. The invoice shows p/n 10254 but I think they sent 10253. %)

Well guys, beware if you order the same hose I did you just might get hosed. I just got off the phone with JBG and they told me that the part that is shown on their website is not the correct photo for p/n 10254. The photo shows a hose with an offset which appears to be at least close to what I need. The rep told me the part in the photo is for a newer full-size Bronco and that it is a larger dia. I think what he meant was at the end that is necked up.

The part they sent has a bend just as I described in my original post and looks more like this.

The guy says "We use these all the time." Well maybe they do but I sure as hell don't see how without puting a serious kink in it which will probably distort the quarter panel even more than the short, straight hose. It looks like I am going to get stuck paying the return shipping for a part that is misrepresented on their website. NAPA here I come.

Now that I went back to the website I think the part that is pictured is actually for a 77.

I'm sure it's not recommended, but I raised my tank. I propped up the tank with some handy 2x4's and removed the strap, hammered it out a little flatter than it was, shoved some 1" tubing above the tank, and voila! I had my tank relocated higher than stock, it is nice and secure and I didn't need a new filler hose. My cost was $5 for the square tubing, and I spray painted it for some corrosion protection. I did need a spacer on the J-bolt to raise the strap where I wanted it, but it works pretty well. Just an idea, and the filler hose that I bought from the auto supply was $10 per foot! Raising the tank was a good option for me. (though technically it is 1" lower than stock, but higher from the ground) This is all to go along with my 2" body lift. I did booger up the sending unit, but I think I can fix it. Be careful when raising the tank, and watch out for that sending unit output.

I bought a two foot section of straight hose at NAPA. That should be more than enough. ;D If I have to I will make some sort of support for the metal portion of the filler neck so that all the pressure is not on the outer sheet metal.
