We painted this past week a saddlebag off of a H-D motorcycle. The color was "Black Denim" (98609BYM). It is real flat. We used a Sikens color formulated to match and then a clearcoat from '5 Star Xtreme'. It was pretty flat, but we added some flattener to get it as flat as the original.
Here is my question: We are going to do some work including painting on a '77 Bronco. The owner may want the Bronco painted with this type of flat paint. Maybe silver, maybe black. He will take the Bronco off road some in some hunting situations and he likely will run some small limbs and tree branches down the side of the vehicle. Does this flat type paint show the light scratches that would come with such activities? I guess you cannot buff or wet sand out this flat paint? The owner wants low maintenance but might be headed in the opposite direction. Thanks for any guidance on this question.
