I guess Todd didn't get the racer out there after all. I know he was talking about it last year.

Andrew, Terry, and I were talking about bringing the Red Racer back east this year for either Broncorama or Carlisle. Then Andrew and Flannery did something and suddenly they were increasing the size of their family by 50% :). Terry and I talked a lot about doing a road trip to Broncorama but ultimately decided against it. High fuel prices, job uncertainties, and a little bit of burnout getting ready for Fab Fords did us in. We keep saying....next year!!

Drew,
Thank you for picking up the award and saving me $10. I will be at the Round Up.

That worked out good for me! I had to miss Carlisle this year so I would've missed the racer AND the Balloon Chase ambulance. Although, I expect the ambulance will make a return trip from year to year

Here are some pics of 2 other interesting Fords I saw that were in the "Car Corral" for sale area:

I love the old flatbed and would really like to have one to use around my place for local hauling of mulch and other stuff. Ideally it would have a modern PSD and auto trans under it though! :)

This other rig was really wild. A slide in on a 76 (I think) Camper Special that had a tag axle on it since it was so long! I'd never seen one like that.

Neat finds. I've seen pics of those campers but never one in person.
