Blue Rocks Family Campground, Lenhartsville, PA, as featured recently in Petersen's 4Wheel & Off-Road, is only open to wheeling a few times a year. If you want to check it out, plan on being there Saturday May 17 and Sunday May 18. Jed and Zack Wood, owners of Blue Rocks, are MEB members and die-hard Ford folks! You won't want to miss this exclusive wheeling opportunity!

Check out the MEB site for more info -

Here's the link to the Blue Rocks site to reserve a campsite, RV site or cabin -
http://www.bluerockscampground.com/

Here is another thread indicating some who are coming -

http://classicbroncos.com/forums/showthread.php?t=119306

No registration for the event is required - just reply to either thread so we can get a rough idea of everyone coming. Thanks, and hope to see you there!

Here are some pics from some previous Blue Rocks trips. The rock creek is simply unbelievable.

Blue Rocks is a great place to wheel, don't be fooled by it being a campground. The terrain is plenty challenging if you want it to be. Jed and Zack are great bronco guys and have a shop that can handle most any repair you might need. Its a nice family place too, the campground is super clean and you can take a quick trip down the highway to Cabela's for all the latest hunting/fishing/shooting gear you could ever need. Don't miss out on a great weekend!

Yeah, last year my track bar bracket ripped right off the front of my 404 mog axle . Couple hours later, I was back out on the trails. ;D

Just got off the phone with Jed at Blue Rocks. He said they were out on the trails two weeks ago and everything in in good shape.

From all the replies to CB, Bfix and e-mail lists, looks like there will be 7 Broncos, maybe more, there. Still room for more if you are thinking about it.

Probably double-posting this but wanted to add the meeting time to the official thread . . .

Everyone should be lined up, aired down, and ready to go in front of the Blue Rocks office by around 9:00 am on Saturday.

However, it's not a real big place and if you come later just check in at the office and ask them to call Jed on his cell. Someone will come get you and bring you to where the wheeling is.

Would someone mind posting a description of the trails and accessibility for a (very) slightly modified bronco. I live an hour away from BR and have a 77 with 2.5 lift, 32's, LSD rear and open front.

If I head up, I'm driving the beast both ways. I can't afford to blow anything up....

Thanks.

Hey guys looking forward to seeing you all. This will be the first time we wheel here when there are other campers....so a couple of things need to happen, when anyone comes in we will not be parking trailers on the grass out front we like to try to keep it pretty while we're open. We can put trailers and tow vechiles in a area I have reserved for parking, so just stop at the office when you arrive and we will point you in the right direction. After everyone is unloaded then we can meet in front of the store. We also need to limit the number of trucks to about fifteen hope that still leaves enough room for all that want to come. So far it looks like we'll have plenty of room CAMPING IS ENCOURAGED!!It will make your trip more enjoyable if you don't need to drive so far in the morning.
Well we are hoping for a great weekend. and a bunch of cool Bronco's

Jeff: Blue Rocks is pretty cool in that the wheeling is throughout a large campground. You can get almost anywhere on the campground roads. The actual trails vary in difficulty but most have been laid out with bypasses or parallel trails that less than highly modified rigs can do. Some of the new trails which were cut at the end of last year are still pretty rough but you can still get close enough to them to see the action. You'll be able to do as hard or as easy of trails as you want. I say come on out especially if you are only an hour away!

thanks for the info, Scoop.

We have a list of family things going on, but I'm going to try to get there. It's close enough that it's an easy 1-day roundtrip for me.

Put me on the list for attending Saturday.

Plus they usually have a few of the local guys (or cousins, brothers, nephews!) there as well! I would guess there will be 10-12 rigs on Saturday.

What is everyone doing for food sat night? I know one year we went out for dinner.

Also, Jed, will we have access to the party room to watch the days movies again or does that room get used by campers normally?

EDIT; BTW, Is anyone bringing a grill I could cook up a few burgers on??
