Mounting tube bumpers / Frame mods

I am in the process of prepping my frame for paint and installation of bracket requiring welding. New gas tank, shock mounts, extended radius arms, etc. I am going to do tube bumpers and looking at the end of the frame rails I am wondering if they should be beefed up, they look pretty weak. Can someone post photos of how they mount, along with any modifications to the frame weld ends. I was considering just boxing them but don’t want to cause issues with mounting the tube bumpers. Thanks! And Merry Christmas!!

i wouldn't box or mod the frame, either you or someone after you will regret it eventually. weld some 2x4 rectangle tubing off the pipe, it'll slide into the frame rails, then drill thru and run a bolt all the way thru.

Personally the frame is pretty good-- this is what I did to make the holes stronger as they can get ripped if tugged on hard enough. Make for a pretty simple and clean fix. Boxing the ends with slide on bumper is super cool but is alot of work and in the end you cant just go back if you want to change a bumper.

Nice job! That looks like it would add alot of strength for sure.
