lat year in march i started a frame off rebuild of my 66 with a deal with a body shop that had fallen through and after a year of not doing anything with it i am thinking of selling it. so the Question is what is it worth ?.... totally dismantled and just sitting on rolling stripped frame with old scool 3" SL motor mounts have been hacked by PO taking it from I6 to V8 front cross member notched for oil pan . motor 3speed tranny with Hurst floor shifter and transfer case needs rebuilt motor is missing manifold will throw in new body mount kit stll in box..

Are the floor plans all replaced or are they still out?

Truthfully you wont get much for it when its all apart like that.

floors still need replaced....

if i knew a welder id bite the bullet and get new floors for it

or trade for body work on my 69

If you can find the right buyer you might get 2k but I think even $1500 is pushing it unfortunately. Whomever gets it will get more than 2k worth, but I'm sure you understand that its worth significantly less as-is

Yeah man - hang onto it - looks like it has good bones. Little by little you can get it back. Keep a close eye on the classifieds section - lots of good used parts for cheap there too.

You can do it!

My advice is to keep it, and make a gameplan up. Make a list of parts you are looking for, and keep your eyes open for used parts that come up for sale. There are a lot of EB owners on the left coast, and many of them are upgrading. Don't be afraid to mix and match suspension parts, either.

You can always make deadlines for purchasing new parts, and plan on hiring out the tasks you are not up for, such as paint and bodywork.

Finally, get out in the shop every day to work on the project, or better organize the shop. I haven't touched my EB in months, but I am staying very focused by organizing my shop, and designing/building some bumpers for a buddy and myself.

shop I only wish I had one or even a one car garage.

the pics were taken when it was in the body shop i was dealing with I just got tired of his tag games with lead me to think he really did not want the car ( 69 mustang fast back that i sold after bringing the 66 bronc home to buy my 69 half cab) i was trading for his end of the deal.

Projects are always tough. I had a clean 71 FJ - 40 torn down to the frame that I was working with my son until he lost interest and I decided to find a Bronco for myself I over paid for it originally too, though the body was in fantastic shape. I did find someone to buy it for what I had into it and I consider myself lucky. If you are not in a hurry, you can probably maximize your return, but if you do not need to sell it i would put it back together slowly as the others have stated. At the very least, get the tub on and running, it will be much easier to sell at that point.
