I am pumped... not being able to drive the truck in years I am driving the neighborhood and trying to get the bugs out. Still have plenty to work on.
Today I asked my daughter if she wanted to head up and get an ice cream...
When leaving she said " I thought we are taking the Bronco"
Since it was only 67 and the sun was almost gone I mentioned that it is probably too cool to drive. Her reply surprised me "It's not to cool, we will be fine." I think she likes the attention it gets...

Fun!

Of course she likes it. My daughter and I went to the store the other day, when I went outside she was in the drivers seat (she is 16 with a permit). I have let her drive it on some backroads but not on the highway yet. So, away we went. Her first comment was "man, I feel like a badass driving this"! Being a good redneck, I was proud.

Awesome! We've had such a cool summer here that I permanently store a sweatshirt in the Bronco for those cool nights. Glad to have done the heater upgrade though - but not glad that I had to use it in August!

CAUTION. I taught my daughter to drive in mine. Now it's her daily driver and I never get to drive it.

this is exactly why I have left the power steering OFF my bronco. So nobody else wants to drive it

It won't work. Mine still has manual everything and 3 on the tree, PLUS no A/C in this hot as hell AZ summer. My garage is still empty:-[ . She does look good driving it though.

OK here is the kicker... The funny thing is that my oldest daughter never had a ride in it yet... She just left for college again. I had it since she was born.

My youngest is now 13, so driving is starting to come up. She wanted to head out in it again today. We are taking a long drive in it tomorrow. (Long being relative I should say longer since I have not had it too far from the house just yet) A little gunshy, I want to make sure we are not going to break down somewhere. Overheating problem seems to be fixed now.

I am hoping this is a start to something, this younger one has been my difficult child we may be finally finding something in common? She helped me bleed the brakes(pumped the pedal).

I actually picked up another Bronco a year or so ago for a streetrod project. (Clean stocker-cleaner than I expected...I now have second thoughts on cutting this one up) It may take a little time but I am curious to see if she asks the question... Why do you have two Broncos? you can only drive one ;)

Now I wish that it did not sit unfinished in the garage for so long. I missed quite a few years of fun with it... I'll have to make it up ;)

I got a bit concerned earlier this summer , my 3 1/2 year old was asking to ride in the F250 more than the Bronco. That changed back after a ride or two and I showed her how much better she can see out of the Bronco than any of our other vehicles.
Now she throws a fit if we take anything other than the bronco , especially the wifes car.
What a great kid ...... daddy's proud :)

Man, are you going to be in trouble in about 12-13 years. A cutie like her and driving a bronco, you are going to have hell keeping the boys run off. You do have a shotgun, right? I think the fear of God will have to be instilled from time to time.

Thanks , :)
We hear that EVERY time we go somewhere.
Daddy = former Marine with multiple "expert" firearm qualifications.
Weapons = a few hunting knives , .357mag , hunting guns , and there is a very menacing assualt shotgun that will get cleaned on "certain" evenings when certain "guests" come calling.;D

I taught all of my kids how to drive in the Bronco many years ago, it was the only rig I had with an automatic, too lazy to deal with a stick.

Funny, they all thought I was nuts to buy it, but now will not let me sell it. :p
