Normally, I don't go out to eat for lunch, I just head home, but today I decided to grab a bite at Subway. Well, I'm at the cash register and this older gent sitting at a table says to me, "Hey, can I buy your lunch for ya?". And my initial thought was who are you and what do you want?, but I just say, thanks, but thats ok. Then he says, "I noticed you got out of that Bronco, and I really like those old trucks. If you just talk Broncos with me, I'll buy." I tell him, "naw I'm good, but I'll still talk Broncos with ya". Thats when he insists that he buy lunch. So I go to sit and talk to an older guy about EBs for half an hour and he was nice enough to pay for my meal. Afterwords, he said thanks for the talk, I said thanks for the lunch and we went our way. Pretty cool cat too. Said he owned one back in 67 when he lived in Detroit.

I love it when I run into people like that. The ones who used to own them back in the day. Makes me appreciate EBs even more.

Yeah, he was a pretty neat old boy. He was a welder by trade and just eyeballing my rig, guessed right on my lift & tire size. He said he owned a 67 that he bought new and regretted letting his wife talk him in to trading it for a 78 FSB. I'd have to say that he was pushing 70-75 years young and wished he had the time and energy to restore one. It was a good, unexpected lunch.
