There are people that run what are called "full width" axles under their Broncos, which is what you are asking about.
In some places doing that on the street will get you tickets.
Mechanically it can work.

I shortened mine 4" on the long side. I have a complete build write up somewhere on here. I went 65" so the rear was the same as a 79 bronco rear axle

If your talking about a stock bronco D44 I believe its width is about 58in. So you'll have a large mismatch of track widths. Probably need to get a wider front axle as well. Most people just get donor axles from one vehicle so they more or less match, The issue with things that have been shortened is you may not have the option of finding donor parts you'll have to custom order parts. So thats something Id also consider. D60's do break pretty much anything can be broken and has been broken.

A 63" rear D60 would pair up well with a 65" F150/BB D44, other than the pattern mismatch, 8-lug versus 5-lug. Or maybe we're assuming you have a full-float D60 when you actually have a semi-float version, in which case the wheel pattern could be just about anything.

Regardless, the only way you're going to squeeze a 63" to 65" WMS to WMS axle under an EB is with very deep BS wheels, otherwise plan on flares and some tire stick-out. There have been some good threads showing EB's on full width axles, including both the 1/2-ton and 3/4 or 1-ton variants. The 3/4 and 1-ton axles tend to run about 68.5" WMS to WMS FWIW.

So to run a true full width axle under a bronco in the front there is either frame mods, push axle forward 9" or run a lot lift to clear the cross member and the frame rail. The pumpkin lands more or less under it. I did a 5 lug conversion on my Dana 60 and a bb 9" from a 78-79 bronco. There are some 64 ish Dana 60 but to run a 35 spline you have to do a lot of machine work. I like the 9" cuz it's light and strong. If your going to do a rear that's even stronger run a 14 bolt and get the ends and cut it down. Weighs a lot I mean a lot but it's bullet proof. 64" is a great size for a axle under the bronco

ford dana 60 in the front and sterling 10.25 in the rear. 17x9" 4.5" Bs wheels with 37x12.50 tires. think they came from an early to mid 90s f350.

the front sticks out a wee bit, but the rear is completely inside the flares.

...but you should note that you're running the extra wide WH Silverback flares.

Just search around for full width swaps, those will give you an idea BUT, those are all 65" wide.
Me, I would not bother with a 63" wide and all custom parts, for a extra 1" per side, you can run normal off the shelf parts.
