Planning on going front coilovers and what love to see pics/ideas of what types of axle/radius arm mounts everyone is using. I plan on using hydro bump stops. I have D44 with extended radius arms with built in shock mounts. Wondering if putting the coilover on the radius arm is too much stress at that point or better too fab an axle mount. I'm tired of waiting for someone to come out with a front coilover kit. Please help with some ideas or pics. Thanks!

Least amount of stress would be mount right above the axle. I've thought about using the two bolts that secure the lower spring cup on the radius arm to put a mount for a coilover or airshock.

Pros and cons for coilover mounts

Thanks for the info. I pm'd SSTLAURE about an idea where I could have a shock hoop thru the fender w 3 close, but individual attachment points across the top that would give me 3 mounting options below. Radius arm, axle, and C bushing. Any pros/cons for coilover mounts?

Coilover would be best if mounted to the axle.

You're looking at a full engine cage, with a crossmember to stiffen the top up. Forget running inner fenders if you're really serious about running coilovers.

Talk to Chuck at BC or any of the guys at Endeavor for some pics on how theirs are mounted on the racers.

Coilover size?

Alright, so sounds like an axle mount is best but a radius arm mount with hydro bump stops is a close second. Looks like spring rates are individual preference depending on many factors like weights, how fast you wanna go and what you wanna do with it. My newbie question is, how do i know what size coilover I need? I have extended radius arms with shock mounts, 3.5" Wildhorse coils and 2" body lift, 3.5" rear leafs and would like a little higher front. I've heard 14" and 16" travel. I don't mind cutting the inner fenders. Do I just make the hoops and take some measurements or what? If so, which measurements? Suggestions?
