When I was redoing my seats I tossed the old rusty screws with no thought of needing them to match up to new ones. I have been to 3 different part houses, one being a screw, nut, and bolt distributor with no luck, but with a lighter wallet. I did some search on here and read one thread where Scott C mentioned they were special screws. I haven't had success getting in touch with him to get more info on this. I'm reaching out to the community to see if they know of this "special" screw he is referring to.
Thanks for any help

Sorry about that, The screws that hold the hinge covers on

my bad, you did ask for a guru, who would've known those are the only screws on the seats (I think) ;D

I've got at least one of them, if no one else chimes in I'll take it out and post a pic this evening...maybe even take it down to Ace to find a replacement size; always looking for a reason to drive the Bronco

...then again the Dayton dummies are probably warming up the salt trucks as we're supposed to get light snow today %)

I have the hinge covers for my u14 bench, but they weren't in place so I have no idea on the screws.

You mean these? 4 of them that bolt to the bottom of the seat.

EB seats are Mustang seats. Call CJ Pony Parts. They'll have them as either Mustang or EB parts.

Not sure which if either is original, but they are both 3/16 - 24

I think maybe both are, I remember the longer tapered ones, but mine also had some shorter ones like that one on the left. Maybe the longer ones were for certain sides.

They are both from passenger seat, short screw is from door side, long screw was on bottom of hinge cover on other side....bottom of hinge cover on that side is all that’s left ;D

Thanks, It would of been easy to drill, tap, and put new screws in, but I really wanted to know what the "secret screw" was that Scott C referred to.
Thank you 1strodeo for hooking me up with the info, I hope this will help others on here also.
