I've been having some fuel delivery issues. So I replaced everything from the main tank to the carb (needed to be done anyway). But, I'm still getting no fuel. Haven't checked the switch (two tanks) but have started on that now, as the aux tank has to be replaced anyway. I assume that could be causing an issue?? Otherwise, I'm going to be adding an electric pump I guess.
I've thrown a number of wrenches today. Cussed my dog. Frustration is overflowing a little. $&@"@8!

Work backwards. Disconnect from the carb and see if fuel is getting to the carb (unless you have one of those fire hazzard glass fuel filters and can see it).

Check to see if the eccentric fuel pump drive on your timing chain didn't come lose. Did yoiu mount the lever on the pump under the eccentric drive? Unplug the fuel line from the tank at the pump and run a temp line down to a can of gas and see if it's pumping. After that try bypassing the switch from main to aux and just run a temp line from main to pump. Keep an extinguisher handy.

Fuel isn't getting to carb. I pulled the line and hooked to a can got nothing. Pump was working when I tested it after replacing. I'll check it again.

What carb? The q-jet has that little filter at the inlet that goes from running great to crap in about 2 seconds if it clogs. When you checked for fuel to the carb did you pull the line or just see if it was squinting down the bowls?

Pulled the line. Nothing....I even put a clear filter on the line to check it and couldn't even get anything but a few drops. Then just ran the line to a can while I turned it over. Nothing....
Feels like pump issue or the switch. I'll pull both. Pump was good (previously checked) but I've had issues since I've been trying to get it going. Just not enough fuel moving.
I'll throw on an electric pump if those two things don't fix it. Just have to figure out that setup first (which pump...regulator??). Haven't looked at yet and know the low pressure requirements.
It's a booger getting to the pump because of a welded on homemade thick steel skid plate. Cuss every time. May torch it while I'm doing everything and get rid of it.

BET it's a vacuum leak at that tank selector switch (one on the floor, not the gauge)...had one do the same thing...bypassed and it was all fixed

Is the tank selector switch turned to the main tank? Silly question I know but I did it when my aux tank was out. Or maybe vapor lock. Is main tank full?

First thing by pass the selector switch/valve since you aren’t using the aux tank. This will eliminate any vacuum leaks there. Once you have confined fuel to the pump then you can rule out the pump and the line to the carb.
