Ahh yours must be the Highlander hood. Heres my Bronco Designs hood with the openings up front. I dont think I want those opened up so I'll have to have the body shop fill them in and smooth them before paint. Mine also has the bracing underneath

After you dremel'd the vent holes open, did you need to smooth the edges out? Sand paper? File?

I like the finished underneath on the hood. I never finished mine and it bugs me all the time.

I used a spiral carbide cutter to rough cut the slots and used paint mixing sticks with sandpaper stuck to it. I used a round file for the ends. After the slots were cut I coated the bare fiberglass with resin. You have to be gentle and take your time because the fiberglass is thin and could break if you apply too much pressure.

Wohoo... Thanks for posting all the photos, as well as the tire, wheel and lift specs!

I had pretty much decided on those same tires (the only 33x10 that I know of) on 16x8 wheels, but didn't know how to figure out how they would look, or if they would they would work. I already put a 1" body lift on my 68 Luber project, so now I'll go with the 3.5" suspension lift for 4.5" total like yours. I figured with that size tire and wheel I might have to pull the axle back an inch ... so you've done exactly what I needed to see! Your truck looks great. I think the stance looks perfect!

Db,
Looks great! Tucks nice, and proportions are spot on!

Do you use the bars on your rocker guards for a step at all?

33x10.5 on 8" wheel. 3.5SL and 1" body lift. Rear fender lip rolled. Tight fit but hasn't been in any extreme conditions. NV3550 with 4.10 gears. Great combo for a driver.

Super nice bronco dbteak.

I'm thinking about this same combo but a bit worried seeing that the 10" wide tires are rubbing. Are you rubbing over bumps or with people in the back?

I don't think it would rub if I put 1000lbs in the back. I've had it loaded up with camping gear and it didn't rub. I don't rub over speed bumps either.

You also have nice looking bronco.

I would think you will probably rub the front of the fender first if you flex it much. I would rub the front of the fender even with my 31x10.50 tires when flexed and under power.
