i think this is a fairly easy question for the pro's.
i recently had my clutch replaced... actually about 4 months ago. when accelerating from a stop, the clutch will grab almost 90% of the time, causing my rig to "buck". what is the fix here? what do i tell my mechanic to do?
thanks.

bronco hop or clutch chatter. Lots of things can cause it. Chech rear springs & u-bolts for axle wrap. It could also be in the clutch or flywheel. On my rig it was the worn clutch.

:p :p :p Old school pull it up to a big tree and put in 3rd and slip the cluch a little and sometimes this will fix it. It will seat the cluch also hope you have traction bars they stop the hop good luck.%) %) %) Bill %) ;D

I M O when the clutch was put in the flywheel was not turned.....
do you know 100% is was .....a lot of guys will take a grinder and dance around the flywheel ....How do I know because I did my ''OLD SCHOOL'' because I didn't want to take it to work and wait a day or 2 and get it done....HOP, mine also ..3.55 gears , 16 inch tires, taking off in 2nd gear not low..and no traction bars...NP435 hops on any take off in 2nd gear much better if I take off in 1st...Just dont want to start off in 1st...

Could also be worn motor/tranny mounts also check your rear driveshaft make sure its not binding at the slip joint and all the ujoints are good.

mine does it like crazy after putting on 35" tires. try pulling your rear driveshaft( unless you have twin sticks) and roll around in front wheel drive. that way you will know if your gettin any axlewrap. if you have big tires and high gears you'll need to go to lower gears to avoid frying clutches. i would only buy a centerforce or other high dollar clutch.
