np435 bellhousing question

i have a NP435 transmission and NP205 t case. currently it has a 351M-400 bellsousing. if i put a small block in front of this trans, how hard is it to find a np435 bellhousing with small block pattern. Is there any difference in the input shaft length?

Not sure how hard it is to find a bell housing. I know the 300 6 cylinder has the same pattern as the 289/302/351W. They used the NP435 behind those in the 70's trucks. I went the other way with my 78 F 150. It had a 300 in it with an NP435 and I put a 400 in front of it by just changing the bell housing. I did have another 78 that I bought with a 302 that I put a 300 in without changing bell housings too.

Bolts right on to the standard EB bell housing. You'll have some work to do to support the 205 though..

Cool, I never knew np 435 had same pattern as the three speed. I'm not actually putting it in my Bronco. I have a beater 79 f150 4x4 short wheel base. has a blowed up engine. was thinking about stripping it down to the cab, putting a small block in it, cage it , and build a trail toy. or thought about just putting a 460 in it, but then got to find a flywheel.

but then again, i already have too many projects i'm trying to sell, cause I'm overwhelmed, I have ford ADHD

The NP435 uses the same bellhousing as the T18/19, and they were used up to ~'87 in F-series & Broncos behind all engines.
