We're installing the NV 3550 tranny over Xmas vacation and while reading the directions, ( ya I read them before I start) they mention the standard clocking and a higher clocking for better ground clearance.
I was wondering if anybody has tried the higher position or had problems and went with the standard clocking?

There have been a couple people who have cloclked the transfer case with the NV4500 and ZF swaps. I think that they are pretty much the same when it comes to doing the clocking of the T/C. Look in the links section of the site and there is detailed write up of clocking the T/C under ZF swaps. Good luck. also you might want to look at pirates website, always good info there.
