One of the problems that we keep runnin' into with the adapters that use a clocking ring is with a "J" type case the shifter has to be made with the clocking position in mind. It will not be possible for us to have a different shifter for each clocking position.
The questions are:
Do you want to remove the flags, and drill a hole through the shiftrails for a rod-end type linkage? or can everyone agree on the most common clocking position?
The shifter comes straight up from the AA supplied shoulder bolt, and toward the center a couple of inches, is that a problem.
Our preference would be to make one shifter that will work on a “T” or a “J”, by using a hyme joint linkage. PITA to drill the shiftrails if you have a “J”, but it would allow the shifter to work in all three clocking positions.
