OEM seats vs pick and pull seats

So I don’t currently have seats for my bronco. I found some OEM bronco seats that need to be recovered near by for 400 buck and I found some 2nd row seats out of a 2005 Chrysler Pacifica for 300 which really nice. I’m 6’4 so height of the seat is a big thing for me to see out the windshield. My question is has anybody here have had both seats and can clarifying which are the lowest in the seating area of the seats for seeing out the windshield?

The Chrysler seats look pretty high. And I'm not sure if the track has a lot of travel room. The third pix are Tom's Bronco seats which I believe are lower, but you should ask them. I'm 6.0 and running BMW 3 series seats that are about an inch higher than stock and I'm pretty close to the hardtop. I've heard taller drivers like the Miata seats (#4)

Sorry az73. I thought they were out of a Chrysler Pacifica. They are out of a 2019 Chrysler town and country 2nd row.

Guy is selling them on eBay for 200 bucks and 100 bucks shipped. Can’t beat that for new seats

I am using BMW E46 series 3 seats in mine, got them on FB marketplace for $125 for both. They are 6way power with heat. Add another $300 - $500 to reupholster. They can sit as low as 6 1/2 - 7", have a real long travel front to rear and a lever for rear seat. The convertibles have an integrated seat belt but go for much more.

I grabbed seats from a 90s Plymouth laser/Mitsubishi eclipse for 30 each at the boneyard. Comfortable and they sit lower than stock. If you go to the junkyard yourself you can test em out and make sure how they feel on your back.

I just used XJ seats, since the rigs are so closely related they were a snap to install and work great. I still need a rear seat, may look at the TBP rear seat. I've heard good things. The last pic is my buddy who is 6'4" , and he still sees through the windshield. But I will say we had to remove tons of mounting tab height to get them to basically just sit on the floor . Good luck. ;)

Does anyone have any height info on the Chrysler town and country or dodge caravan seats in question? I’ve only been able to find one post by doing a search but there’s no info in height.

I am 6'4" and use 1988 Nissan Pulsar NX highback buckets. I look out the windshield like a normal vehicle. Full recline and sliding on both driver and passenger side. Only had to make a bracket for the front right corner of passenger seat (of course bc of the big drop on Bronco floor) $80 for the pair already pulled at junkyard. Later got custom waterproof Wet Okole seat covers made.

I got 2 bucket seats out of a 2012 Ford Fusion for $100 from a U-pull, in real nice shape. Installed them by modifying or making the seat mountings, I think the seat area of the seats are roughly the same height as original bronco seats. Look nice and are really comfortable. I am only 5-8, and I look out the windshield towards the top, so I don't know about the height issue.

I do have a question about Wet Okole seat covers mentioned by abn373, are they made of neoprene? Are they comfortable in warm weather? Any other thoughts about them?

I would say they are neoprene, but that's just because they seem like they are neoprene, its possible they are a different proprietary fabric that isn't neoprene, but damn close to it.

It is hot and humid in Charleston and they are as comfortable as they are able to be. In other words, they are less sticky than leather and no worse than cloth seats as far as breathability. I rarely run anything more than a bikini top, sometimes a safari top, but no doors or windows and I have left it outside in absolute downpours and it protects the seats just fine (it is usually garaged though)

I got the optional rear map pockets on mine, which is nice for quick stowing small stuff so it doesn't blow out. They offer gun pockets and such as well, but seems like a bad idea on an open top Bronco.

Some of the best money I have spent on the Bronco. Not cool stuff, but damn practical.

Mine are from a wrecked 2016 Jeep JK two door. $700 in the whole set before adding the custom embroidery on the front seats. The fronts mount directly to the floor by unbolting and removing the original risers.
