Oil Pan Install ?

I plan on installing the permadry gasket but I am not sure if it will be effective with the grooves in my pan? Anyone else tried the permadry with a pan similar to one of these below?


Spectre Performance OEM Style Oil Pans 5507 OR Transdapt 8348
(both of these pans have little double grooves about 1.5 inches long all around the edge of the pan)

Do you have the pan yet? Becareful when purchasing the pan. Make sure you get the correct pan and dipstick combination for your 302 block. Later 5.0 dipstick goes in the block and early dipstick threads into the pan. Duff is now offering both pan kits complete w/pan, felpro gasket, pick tube, pickup tube mounting stud and LOKAR braided stainless flexible dipstick for $249.95.
