Hey guys,

I just inherited a Bellevue (Warn bought them out) 8k lb winch for free!;D It was really dirty and is missing the dust shield that goes around motor but after some cleaning up and messing with, it runs perfectly. Ok so right now I have a Mile Marker 9k lb winch (which I also got for free:p) but it acts up sometimes so I would rather run the Bellevue. The problem is it will probably not fit in my current homemade bumper so I will have to modify it. I was just curious how many people run this winch or a Warn 8274, and if you do could you post some pics of your bumper or how you mounted it please?

Thanks!

Nik

Got a pic of your winch? I've got an old Warn 5687 8000lb winch on unknown brand bumper. This is the first time I've seen a winch this old. It is operated by 3 cables mounted on a panel under the dash and gets its power from a manual knife switch mounted on the pass inner fender well. But anyway, if the Warn winch works then I would definitly use it. They have made their rep. on being strong and reliable and I think it with be worth modifying your bumper to make it fit

I have an 8274 on a bailie bilt bumper. Gordon had to custom make the mounting area because they are front mount winches. PM me your e-mail address and I'll send you a picture

Mine has the exact same operating system with the knife switch, except it is kind of a basket case in that sense. I can try and get a photo up, but I'm up at school right now and the winch is 5 hours away at home%) The reputation and just the build quality are the 2 reasons I want to run this winch.
