I was disassembling my hubs to clean, one has a bushing (appears to be) between the two locking collars (with the big squared off teeth), the other side did not. I do not see a part number or description on the exploded view--
Is this a necessarry part? If so are replacements available (did not see in graveyard's site). Thanks

Should be a collar, locking ring and then 2nd collar just like standard hubs. The pin in the first ring sets into the lock ring and it has a tooth that sets in the spindle.

This is a flat ring that sits inside the the square teeth and would act like a bushing. It was almost like a sintered type metal, but did not look like bronce, but crumbled. Looks like it will work without it, but kind of filled some dead space where the collars meshed.

Are you talking about the locking hub that engage the 4WD? I think the fellas above are talking about the spindle locking rings.

I have a set of 66 hubs in storage and not sure what you are describing then.

Yes the original locking hub. The two parts that have the square "teetht" that engauge and disengauge. One had a complete bushing that seemd to be there to stabilize the rings or minimize play.
