I thought I'd share this with you guys. I wanted headrests so I went to the Junkyard to look for some parts to use. I had no idea I would find a direct bolt in.
I found a period correct mercury. I don't really remember what model it was. The seats in my 74 had a section where four bolts would attach the head rest just like the mercury seats. All I had to do was cut a slit in the upper section of the seat back for the headrest tem to pass through. It took about 25 minutes to install in each seat. There isn't much room to use a rachet in a assembled seat but it is possible
My seats are now safer, cooler looking and best part it was done on the cheap for about 20 bucks.

Hope you dig my discovery.
Jason

Here is a pic of the attachement point for the headrests. You can see 2 of the 4 bolts. I recently went to the u pull it and saw these in just about every 70's model ford and mercury I found.

Guys,
As far as I know it will work on EB seats. Take your seat backs off and check for the mounting holes. I beleive that bronco seats are basically modified 68 Mustang seats. I'm not sure about the real early years so I would strongly suggest checking for the holes first. If you had to fab something I don't think it would be very difficult.

Thanks for the kind words. I'm happy I can finally contribute something new and original.:)
