This is what I use. Works well for me. With the zerk to pump grease into it. I quit hand packing when I got it.
I've always used one of these for years, and it has never failed me ,and you can pick them up at any auto parts store.

I grew up using my dad's bearing packing tool. It was left over from his gas station days (Signal Oil). I can't find a pic, but the pic below looks like the same general concept. Grease is force up the tube & thru the bearing as pressure is applied from above. Dad's didn't have the lever, but a dish with 2 handles that you forced down by hand. It stood on the ground low enough your body weight would do the work. It was pretty quick to use.

I've seen people use those vacuum sealer things for storing food

Put the bearings and grease in the bag and vacuum it down and seal it like it was a nice steak

I just packed mine by hand Saturday with the blue gloves. I like the food saver idea though!

Mine is made by Lisle & does what it is supposed to do. Maybe the others don't work as well. Here's one on ebay for $8.79.

tried all the gizmos, if i was doing 50 bearings a day maybe they make sense. Four bearings every ten years? Blue gloves and by hand works best for me.
