Looking for a Parchment Soft top for my 69 bronco.

I think I have seen one with a thicker/more durable Diamond Fabric???

I like how the venders claim they designed it or their exclusive product.

Which Parchment Top would you recommend?

Thanks

Tom's has the Rampage top in the Parchment Diamond fabric. WH looks to only have the regular/lighter weight top in parchment.

I have an older STC top and would recommend the Diamond fabric. From what I hear it is closer to the fabric that Kayline/STC used than the regular lighter weight fabric.

I just put on the Tom's parchment with the thicker diamond pattern. I love it, and the install was manageable with only a few set backs. Took me about 4 1/2 hours to install. The pictures show the top NOT locked in, so it fits a lot tighter than you see in the photos.

PS....If you do go with this one make sure of the following:

1. Check for all the parts, mine were all there but sometimes they leave something out.

2. Make sure to measure from your windshield to tailgate and confirm that you do have a distance of 84" + or - 1/4 " If not shim it to this measurement.

Then just take your time and follow the directions. If I can do it anyone can.

I've installed a few Soft Tops before, all Black though. I liked the STC (wish they still made them) and was not so impressed with the Bestop.

Was just curious about the quality of the Parchment Diamond fabric and overall color. All good there?

Rmally - Looks good with the Boxwood Green. What set backs did you encounter?

The quality is very good, nice and thick material and looks really nice. I would certainly recommend it and would buy another one.

As far as the set backs it was mainly instruction related, it is very vague on some finishing details. Here were my main frustrations:

1. When installing the bows I put them on backward the first time, they were not "labeled" very well. In hindsight I should have figured it out because after I noticed it it was pretty much common sense....but still instructions very vague.

2. I couldn't figure out how to tighten the top, no where in my instructions did it go into detail about setting the bow resistance and locking them in.

3. One of my side windows had the rubber hard piece pressed to tight, it took literally 30 minuets to get it to fit into the channel. It was a flaw from manufacturing but very irritating.

That's pretty much it, like I said mainly just poor instructions. Someone should really do an "idiots guide to installing your first soft top" because the instructions I think take a lot for granted.....and I have never done this before. If you've done one you wont have any problems.

What I like about the Rampage top (or Toms top) is how easy it is to use. Very fast up and down and using all the old hard top holes makes for very minimal drilling.

Rmally,

How about the color? Is it actually a Parchment color or is it Bright White?

Thanks

It's not bright white, but also not as "tan" as say the parchment interior. It's really more white than parchment. I will try and get some comparison photos soon.....(my bronco is in the shop getting a complete fuel system overhaul, hopefully back by Tuesday).

QUICK EDIT.....Here's a photo from last week that shows my rear seat and the top together, you can see how the parchment seat color is a little darker than the top.
