So who has some pictures and information about aftermarket wheels that were available when our Broncos were new? I'm always keeping an eye out for rare wheels and wonder what everyone else has or is searching for.

Good ole' slot mags. Tough as nails and look great.

Western Turbine Mags. A friend of mine had a set of these on his yellow Bronco, the inset areas of the spokes were painted yellow and the blades were polished. They really popped once they were polished. These seem to be pretty valuable in good condition.

Steel Wagon Wheels. These were made by a ton of manufactures. I have the common ones on my Bronco painted black.

These are made by Jackman and are interesting looking.

i wish I could find some western bullets for a reasonable price. They are period and would look great on a resto. Found a guy in the midwest that refurbishes them but he want about $300 per for a used wheel.

I had a set of the western turbine wheels on my eb for years. Tried to sell them, then give them away, nothing. Took them to a recycler and got 65 bucks for them.:(

For a stocker I don't think you can beat the original Ford aluminum slots. But just my opinion.

Anybody know what wheels these are? They don't look the same as the turbines posted above. I thought mine were turbines.
Thanks,
Robert

The ones posted above are 8-lug and not as deep as yours so I think that is what makes them look different. All info I have about them says they were sold first by Western Wheel but I think other manufactures may have built them later on. They look great, want to get rid of them?

wow!! some of those wheels are very cool and then some of the others make you think, man there were some great drugs in the 60s and 70s.

willtel,

I have the same exact type of wheel. They're made by Western Wheel, and to make them even cooler, they're the same type of wheel on the A-Team van.

I like the Bullets on the new Mustangs. They are very "Retro" but as far as I know they are not available in 5 on 5 1/2.
