I believe I am going to build a LUBR with either 31s or 33s. I need the following to help decide how I am going to proceed.

1) Side Profile Picture
2) Size & Brand of Lift if any.
3) Size & Brand of Tire.
4) Rim Manufacturer, Size including backspacing if possible.

Thanks in advance.

My 73

This is my 73 with a 2.5" WH lift and 31x9.50x15 on Ford aluminum slots. I think the wheels are 7 - 7.5" wide.

9-32 X 16" Swamper TSL's on 7" wide Crager V-5 steel wheels with 4" backspacing. One inch body lift and 2-1/5" suspension lift. Totally untested, but looks like it will work.

Look into 265/70/17 MT's on a 17x8 wheel with 4.5" BS and 3.5" total lift. I'm just saying. There's not a ton of wheels out there in that size, but they are available. Some of the best looking will need the centers bored out to fit the hubs though.

http://classicbroncos.com/forums/showthread.php?t=122483&page=25&highlight=jcwalsh1 Post #363 on page 25. Check out the Blue LUBR. That's 2.5" of lift and a 255/70/17 I believe. Roughly 31". Clears at full stuff, so a 265 (32") and 1 more inch of lift should do it. The 265/17 MTR combo is what's on the new Jeeps.

Chris,

I have a 3.5" suspension lift by Wild Horses. No body lift.
My wheels are M/T Alcoa Challengers 15x8 with 3.75" backspacing.
My tires are BFG AT's 31x10.50.
33's would not have worked with my set up. The tires would have hit the front edge of the rear fenders when stuffing up into the fender.

Beautiful Bronco. I may end up going 2.5" suspension lift and 1" body lift, so the 31BFGs may be the ticket. I wish they made a 31" tire in a 9.5" width however.

I looked on the BFG website and I don't remeber seeing 33x9.5s. I am going to try and use the stock wheels, so skinny is the ticket.

Very nice Bronco by the way. I like the look.

There's a guy that's part of the Lone Star EB club that has a LUBER on 33's. Since 9.50's have been 86'ed, I think he's running the 10.50's now and 4.5" or 5" of lift with no problems.
