Just replaced my pinion seal with a stock 9" seal. dang thing is leaking like it's not even close to sealing. This is the 2nd one, the other lasted at least a couple wheeling trips. there was a couple grooves in the flange shaft that I smoothed out it still leaks bad
I have 1350 series pinion flange and I think it's a Daytona, not for sure.
Anyone have pics of either pinion supports to make sure I get the right one.
Also know which seal for the 1350 series? not sure what the OD is on the different series?:?

I've got around 300K on the Bronco now, and have overhauled the third member a couple of times. Both times a new pinion yoke was needed because of a grooved journal.
If that surface is the least bit questionable, get a new yoke. They're very reasonable.

Might be related to the groove which comes from years and years of grime, dirt and trash getting packed in.

Perhaps it's time for a new yoke or speedi-sleeve.

If it does have a grove cut in the pinion yoke you can try a speedie sleeve. Not sure about the spelling but I got one at NAPA for mine. It was about half the price of a yoke. It cured my leak.
