Any of you have / use on of the pneumatic flangers/punchs like Harbor Fr. sells. They list it working on 16 Ga. material and thats what I'm using on my panels.
Looks like a good by @ $39.00 if they work ?

Thanks

I would think it would be perfect for taking a cut to an uncut without removing the whole panel. I wouldnt mind doing this myself.
Anyone know if the longer f100 panels would be better for donors than the Bronco panels?
Sorry for the diversion.

They work fine. I have one and so does a freind. You do need to be careful though and make sure the metal is clean or it will tear up the edge on the blocks and cause the flange to be a litltle in disctinct.

The punch is really handy for spotwelding panels.

I passed on Harbor Freight on this one. Bought one on E-Bay for same price, 3/16" punch, swivel head and handles 14 gauge. No bidding, it was Buy it now. Works great. He has a E-Bay store and logo is MPP, just can't remember name. I can look it up on my PayPal account if you want.
Afterthought: Great for flanging straight cuts, corners require a little work.

When I did my core support I drilled 3 holes and then borrowed a bodyman's punch from work. His is a Matco brand but I'm sure the Harbor Freight one will last you long enough for an EB restoration or 2.

Picked one up at Northern. It's very handy and works well. You'll find more uses for it as you go.

Don't know how I ever made it without it. I started drilling holes to plug weld. Then I bought the punch/flanger. Did it ever save time!

Found out this item was on the HF sale sheet for $29.95 so I went yesterday and picked one up.
This little tool is great. I punched 14 holes in a floor panel quicker than I could have found the right bit and up it in my drill.
Played with the flanger a little and it worked good on the 16 Ga. I have been using. It makes the offset flange about 1/2" long. Should be a big help when butting up to flat sheets.
With the sale price I added the 1 year full replacement warranty for $5.90 and feel like this was a good buy .

I've had mine for a year or two now. It's been fun to play with, one of these days I'll get the sheet metal work done. :-[

Good deal. That warranty is nice, it stops working, just bring it in and snag a new one on the shelf. I might pick one up this weekend to try on my wheel wells (narrowing them ~ 3").

If your just starting your panel replacement they're worth their weight in gold! Best money you can spend.

I unfortunately bought mine with two panels left to do.
