I have to pick colors for the 76 Roadster recreation this weekend. I was thinking of a two tone paint scheme with white (Performance White) above the side body style line and blue below the style line (Vista Blue) with white fender flares. Let's see some pictures of your favorite paint schemes and list your colors incase I change my mind and I want to steel your paint job! ;D

You and I have similar taste in colors. Mine is Blue / Silver. I love Blue / White also. Go w/ your gut, if that's your fav. color combo, don't let anyone talk you out of it.

The 2 tone looks great on roadsters, that body line makes for such a great way to break the color up.

I know this is a weird question but is it going to be a "pretty" rig? What look are you going for, aggressive, clean, retro, etc?

Tito is an expert on "Pretty rigs". ;D ;D

I'm not sure whose this is, but I love this color scheme:

It is going to be a pretty but functional rig. ;D

The door inserts are faired in with just a hint of outline to reduce cracking. Completely rebuilt down to every nut, bolt and screw. Every part is either completely reconditioned or brand new. Convertible top with two piece soft doors. This will be run 90% on the street and 10% trails. We just don't have a lot of areas where you can off road down here in SW Florida. This summer I will likely tow my boat down to the keys with top down and the doors off. It is fun driving over all of the bridges with the top down.

The picture that Devin posted is what I am thinking of doing except where the dark colors are would be white including the fender flairs and where the silver is would be metalic blue.

The frame is powdercoated Black along with the axles. Most of the suspenstion bushings are blue along with the front springs, radius arms and the shock boots.

Below are some photos. I don't have the most recent body photos.

I looked and looked but couldn't find any pictures of it online. David and Mary Dewitt in West Texas have a beautiful bronco that is white above the body line and kind of an aqua blue below it. Their bronco was at OCBR 2006 and at the LEBC Round-up in 2006 or 2007, don't remember which. They are friends with Patty from Tom's Bronco Parts too. So I don't know if anyone has a pic of that bronco but it sounds close to what you're thinking.

Here is a photo of the door insert. It has been fully faired in now with just a perfect seem cut for an outline to eliminate cracking during flex.

I would love to see any pictures of bronco paint schemes, but especially two tone and even more of blue & white combinations.

Heck, match the blue on the suspension stuff along with the white flares and above body line would be real clean.

I think A two tone with the darker mettalic Blue on the bottom and a silver above the beltline would be cool. Put some Shiny rims on her. Would look great.

X2 on that paint scheme. I had a 70 with something similar to that but hard doors and top. Looked good with the white hood and color on the side. Mine was white on top to the body line, light blue from there down and darker blue flares. I'll look for some pictures. Will have to scan them in, that truck was before digital.

Revelation,

How did you do that? What program did you use? I like the blue one if you could just make the flares white and above the style line white I could see if my idea of a paint scheme is going to work. ;D
