My 73 Uncut EB is 100% original paint. The only bad rust issue, the inner fender aprons, were replaced. I still have a line of rust down the middle of the driver side kick panel and a rust hole in the windshield frame so I want to replace those. The rust on the exterior is very minimal surface rust. The floor pans show surface rust around some seams. I want to get a good daily driver repaint but I don't want rust coming through a few years down the road.
Not sure if it's worth removing the tub. What's the best way to proceed as far as the rust issue prior to having it painted. I'm not that handy so I will have to pay to have most of this done. Also...2 stage paint or 1 stage. Does 1 stage look more original? thanks!!!!

Single stage paint will look more original. While time consuming, tearing it all apart is going to be your best insurance that you get all the rust eradicated. One thing leads to another!
