Has anyone else had a problem getting their stuff shipped to them from Chuck? I ordered an adapter on the 8th of March using paypal... I then recieved an E-mail from Chuck saying two week until shipment could be made because of the move. This is all well and good except my bronco sits and waits and there was no mention of this on the web site +THEY ALREADY HAVE MY MONEY! It is now the 25th and still no e-mail and or tracking number from him... Can anybody help me? Thanks for listening to my rant. Toby

Not to be rude, but it sounds like you were aware of the fact that he was in the middle of transplanting his operation and that knowledge alone should have made you either call and find out if there might be delays or explore other options.

Me personally I would rather buy from Chuck than anyone else, but if I need something now and he cannot meet my needs I would be forced to go another direction. Just my opinion.

They have had the info on their website for some time about the move and delays with shipping albeit the website could use a bit of modernizing (sorry Chuck) for ease of use and information provision. Everything is folder driven and can be a little confusing. Have a little patience with them, they'll get it to you they are in the middle of a pretty big undertaking with the move...I can't imagine.

I've had issues using Paypal on Chucks site. I talked to them and they explained that the paypal checkout gets goofed and doesn't always inform them that you paid.

Lots of places like BC aren't setup like amazon.com with a huge logistical infrastructure to handle online ordering and payment. I tend to use the website to look at the catalog and call in an order instead of making online payments when dealing with a small time operation.

I’m sure that Chuck will comment on this. He is one of the few vendors that truly participates on this forum.

This is a good forum for discussing vendors and customer service-but did you do this first? I think that there should be a new forum rule that requires you to say whether or not you called the vendor first before posting. I've seen a lot of nasty discussions go down on here that didn't have to happen if this had been done first.

;D

Not to worry, chuck and the entire crew at BC is great, I am SURE he'll not screw ya over. If time is of the essence I'd say speak'n to him on the phone is in order.

 the ONLY retarded thing is if you had said Jeff's Graveyard Sucked, THEN everybody and their cat would start flame'n them with you... and supprisingly enough it's almost always steming from this SAME thing, orders from the internet! :p except NOW everybody is consoling you... not inciteing you if you were a JBG customer ;)

(a few tips) IF you order on the phone:confirm item is in stock, any shipping instructions, specific info needed, etc etc WHEN YOU ORDER IT If ya try these few steps when you CALL in your orders you'll ALMOST never have an issue... with any vendor.

However, IF there is a problem CALMLY speak to the vendor/seller and see what agreement can be made... if none, THEN I see and even understand why u'd want to flame sum-1!!!

But just try to be fair and make sure sum-1 desirves your spite... maybe they do? %) but give 'em a chance to make it right B4 shoot'n em in the back, is all I say'n! :-[

...Can't we all just eat a long-jon! ...isn't that what Rodney said? Cause Cops love pastry? sum-thing like that I think.

But that's another story for another day!

I had a similar problem with BC last year. I new my part was back-ordered when I placed the order, but it seemed to be taking longer than was reasonable. I called them up to check the status of my order. They looked up my order and found they had made a mistake. They apologized immediately and did not try to make excuses or shift the blame. I was asked if I still wanted the part. I said Yes, and received it a few days later.

Everyone makes mistakes. It's how they rectify them that is important. You've got to give them a chance before criticizing them.

Okay, I'll chime in too. WAY befor Chuck ever planned to move I bought a fiberglass hood there. It took a LONG time to get that hood and it didn't even ship out from him, it was shipped from the factory. At $166 for shipping I was pretty pissed but he can't control what a trucking company does. Again, this year I ordered some of those shirts to help support the racing bill for baja. I actually had to call back just to make sure I was going to have them in time for Christmas ( two of them were gifts ) because it tool a LONG time to get them. I have waited a week to get parts from Tom's and Wild Horses but man, those shirts were getting here slow and US mail usually doesn't take that long ( well over a week ). A member shipped me a fender from Phoenix once ( by Greyhound ) and that only took three days.

I am so used to waiting for stuff that last week when jbeyer ordered that stuff from Jeffs I was SHOCKED to have it in two days.

I am a bug when it comes to shiping stuff. I hate waiting for things. If I deal with someone I go way out of my way to see that they get their stuff FAST as possible and that means using any means necessary. I have sold over 100 items on e-bay and every one of those people can't help but leave a " Very fast shipping " in my feedback. I bought a used soft top from a member in new Mexico and sent his money OVERNIGHT AIR ( almost $17 ) just so he wouldn't have to wait for it and that member had already told me he wasn't worried about getting it.

My feelings are if you don't have an item in stock or you think you may have a problem shipping or because you are in the middle of a move, don't take the order. If you do it should be pretty clear to the buyer that it may take a while. I don't have a problem waiting a MONTH for something as long as I know ahead of time that it may take a month. :)

I looked on Chuck's website a few weeks ago and there wasn't anything about the moving situation unless you clicked on the little category called "moving" on the left side contents. I could see how someone could order something without ever knowing about it, especially if that person doesn't spend a lot of time on this site. I was actually looking for that moving update and it still took me a moment to find it, so i don't buy this whole "he should've known" argument. Also 66broncoluvr didn't bash him or anything, he just asked if anyone else had this problem. I think it was a ligitimate rant.
66broncoluvr, Chuck is usually prompt with his customer service, he's just out of sorts for a little while. There was a part i almost bought from him, but decided to wait until after the move.

That would be extremely rare. In a little over 5 years with well over 20,000 transactions using Paypal I can't recall a single instance where I wasn't notified of a purchase someone made. I.E. To me it sounds like it may have been an excuse.

Never been jerked around by Chuck so I have to say there is a good reason your order is dragging its feet. Give him a call, he is good people and will not give you an attitude if you do. With what is going on your thing may have slipped through the cracks. Cut the man a little slack and give him a call. you will be glad you did.
I wish I could say the same about the outfit is Washington, never had such a foot dragging on a claim in my life, over 3 years and no happiness.

This is the first thing I have bought from chuck. I have yet to call him, E-mail yes but I will wait till Monday to call him... It is just a little frustrating to be out 260 without a part three weeks later. I have rode the trails of tellico with a bunch of you guys and really appreciate the time your putting into this rant... I do not have a problem with Chuck or B. C. Broncos. Was just curios if I was the only one. Tkanks again, Toby
