Ok, back in the Bronco swing of things. It's been a while. You might have seen my score on the Facebook group but in case you haven't here is the story of how it all happened. I feel like if there is a Bronco lottery I hit it.
I bore my fellow employees with my talk of Broncos. And to their credit they endure and encourage me. They send me shots from the road of blazers, scouts, OJ Broncos, and an occasional EB. So when one of the younger guys came in and said "I think I found a Bronco for you", I was skeptical. Ok get a picture. And he did.
I thought "this is a joke". There it was a bona fide EB sitting in a parking lot sitting in a pile of junk. It was located at their band practice space and had been there at least three years. So I immediately beeline it over there and check it out.
First thing I notice is the lift kit and dual front and rear shocks. I look into the interior and find an NP435, and a four point family roll cage. I lift the hood, compressor linked to the front diff. Weiand manifold, Carter performance carb. Power steering. So I get on the ground and take a look underneath see dual exhaust, solid frame and very little rust in the usual spots.
Now the bad: Both doors very rusted and blown out. Windshield frame is toast, no wiper motor, hood front lip is non existent. Tailgate doesn't open and is about 50 percent rust. Dash is pretty bad as well.
Thanks to my Bronco hoarding i have doors, hoods, dash, and windshield frames. Only thing that is now on the list is the tailgate. Even have the wiper motor.
There is more to tell but I will try to not write a book.
I am also documenting this on youtube if you care. So come on over and check it out.
