It all started three years ago with my first trip to OCBR after just completing my rig. I couldn’t keep it running on the hills but it would fly when on flat ground with the 331 Stroker (don’t listen to drag racers). So I upgraded to EFI, 4R70W, Atlas 4 Speed, and some build stock width axles. Went on a wheeling trip for the start of 2012 and found out I needed ram assist. Drove it some more and decided I needed hydroboost for better braking. Wheeled it some more through 2012 and thought hell, let do this. So I bought a Dana 60 and a 14 bolt and started the build. And the snowball effect has begun.
Upgraded to full hydro steering, 40” Maxxis Creepy Crawlers, Artec Fuel Cell, Stretching the wheelbase, lowering the rig as low as we could, and basically changing it all again.
The rig has been up at Gordon Bailie’s of BailieBilt and he has been getting after it. He will have everything mechanically ready to go for the Arizona Stampede and we will be flat clocking the atlas and putting in new rear quarters after the trip.

We ended up raising the coil buckets up to lower the roll center.

And now for the rear. Pushed back 4 1/2" and raised up. I am still using my 5 1/2" springs up front and 5 1/2" leafs in the rear. Gordon had a new main spring built to still use the leaf pack, but lower the leafs 1 1/2" without dearching them. Mods still were done to the hangars to get the bronco where it would sit level.

this is set at ride height and the cool new bikini top for it. My overall goal was to legnthen the wheelbase and get it as low as possible and Gordon has achieved both. We are actually sitting lower with the 40's than we were sitting with my 37" Pitbulls.

We will be checking it out very soon. Load it straight on the trailer Monday here in OK and then off the trailer at the AZ stampede. I sure everything will work out just fine.

Wow, that is low! Gordon is doing a really nice job on your rig. Did you modify your inner fenders? I'm guessing you did, but can't tell from the pictures.

front inner fenders were pie cut and new sheet metal was put back in. You won't notice it if you werent looking for it.

The rears, we extended the tubs. Bought two new inner tubs and cut them andextended all the way back to the roll cage.

Looks rockin! I couldn't help notice the irony of your styrofoam cup next to your gas tank. Will check it out at the stampede!

Holy crap! Kyle, you had a really nice rig before, now you've raised the bar for the rest of us. I thought I was almost done until I see your new build. Are you coming to MO in April? Hope to see you there and see how it works.
