Radiator/washer overflow tank

I just got the combo rad/ washer overflow tank from a mid 90's Ford truck. Question about wiring up the pump. Original pump has only one wire. The newer style pump that came with the tank has two wires. Do I just plug my original wire to one side and ground the other?

My 76 bronco has a radiator core brace in the way of installing the washer /overflow tank so you just cut it out ?
