what are you other guys using for your antenna replacements?
i'm not looking to fill the hole. it appears to be factory, though it is on the r/s.
ideas?
thanks

I might have a stock antennae for you. I'm considering putting an electric antennae in mine but it will require a little work to fit it right. If so then the stock one will be an extra.

I got one at Pep Boys a few yaers ago. It fits the stock hole. It doesn't retract all the way down but has a spring mount on the bottom so it doesn't snap off from those low hanging branches.

I don't have a part number or anything, but the antenna has three telescoping sections and will shorten to about 18 inches. The bottom mount has a chrome base with a toggle type peice that goes through the hole. A screw in the top tightens the base to the fender and then is coverd when you attache the antenna itself. The antenna screws to the base and has a large spring about 2 inches long with the antenna out the top. I think it was about $15. It has worked good for 5 years or so without loosening or getting broken on the trail.

I used one that was made as a replacement for a late '80s Taurus. The curve of the mount fit well on the Bronco fender. 13.00 at Pep Boys.

Nick, I'm running a Corolla post mount ant on my windshield frame. It's kinda like the trooper one in the tech section.
