I have been reading this forum daily since January and have learned A LOT but I am a little confused about a few things.

I will be installing a 1" body lift and from what I understand, I also need the new body bushings that replace the stock ones on the chassis/body mounts. Is this right?

Also, I plan on putting a 3.5" suspension lift in the next 6 months.

While I was under the bronco yesterday looking around I noticed that my rear leaf springs need to be replaced. I don't need any type of special leaf springs that work with my particular lift do I? Do I just get the 11 leaf springs from WH?

I'll be doing mostly highway driving but things do get sloppy during hunting season.

Have your body bushings been replaced recently. If not, while you're down there you might as well go ahead and replace them. If they are as old and rusted as mine were, you're going to have to get them out anyway. Might as well do it now.

Not sure on the rear springs.

As ObscureMachine said, if your current body mounts are old and crusty, you may as well replace them while you're in there.

But you have choices!!! You can either buy stock body mounts, and add a 1"
"puck" to get the body lift. Or, you can buy an "integrated" 1" body lift, that is the body mount and lift all in one piece.

Your choice.

I'm a little confused by your question. In the rear the leaf spring is the lift. The suspension lift anyway (not to be confused with that body lift). You also need shocks in the rear sized for the amount of lift.

Ahhh! I was thinking the lift was coming from somewhere else. I am no mechanic that's for sure!

If you havent bought the lift blocks already look into WH new body bushings with the 1" built in lift. Verry common on alot of guys builds on here.

Body bushings can be a huge pain in the ass, and can take you many many hours! Just slapping in a lift block is simple, replacing the bushings can be a intense project, and then you have to realign the doors. Depends on what your after

Why do most go with body and suspension lifts as opposed to all suspension? Cheaper and better tire clearance with a body lift?
