Does anyone know where I can get a detailed steps for rebuilding a stock p/s box online? I'm getting the kit tomorrow and would like to have a step by step procedure.
Go to this website - http://www.chevelles.com/techref/shea_2.html and download and print the 6 pages. The instructions that come with the kit are not for Broncos. Also, the "special tool" shown on there you don't really need. I used a 1/4" drive, 7/16" (I think, maybe 3/8") deep socket with an extension to seat the balls. Careful when you remove the screw, there are 22 ball bearings in there that will fall out.

Thanks! That's what I was looking for. I got my kit from Napa. It's only the seals etc... The box seems to be thight and only needs a few seals to stop the leaking. Thanks again.
Oh ok. Just so you know, the two thrust bearings and the input shaft bearing don't seem to be available anymore. The two sector shaft bearings are available.

It had the sector shaft bearings in it, the teflon rings, seals, washers, snap rings, lock nut... I don't have the number with me right here, the two are the same bearing number. Also, when you remove the top plate over the sector shaft, there is a metal gasket with a rubber seal that you will probably have to reuse so make sure you are careful with that one.
