Rebuilding Dana 30 King pins

The driver's side steering knuckle on my Dana 30 is binding and so I'm going to redo the bearings on the king pins. I've never worked on these before and it doesn't look like the local places carry these parts, so I want to make sure to do it right the first time.

Here's my parts list (Tom's Bronco Parts)
* Dampener Kit, $29.00*4 = $116.00
* Knuckle Rebuild Kit (bearings, cones, seals), $89.00*1 = $89.00
* Shim Kit $10.00*2 = $20.00

And here's my questions:
1) Is my parts list complete?
2) What's the dampener for?
3) Is there a way to put a grease fitting on it so I can inject fresh grease?

Thanks, Newell

It's been a long while since I redid mine. The parts list you have is all you need. If you look at Knuckle Rebuild Kit page, the picture show the dampener parts. You will need it. Well, you might not need the cup. I did have to replace the kingpin on one side when the bearing got destroyed and made a big gash on the pin. I don't know about putting a grease fitting. If there's a will there a way.

I'll go ahead and order some parts then. Thanks Eugene
