When you say, “the color fell out “ is it a film of paint or a piece of painted metal?
Are you wanting to match the other letters to THAT one? I’m thinking that it should be easy to color match and repaint.

I was thinking of just removing the color from all of them and painting them the color I want. I called every vendor and Scott Drake, trying to find a single D. No luck. Wildhorses said the D losing the color was common and they had several loose F, O, and Rs, but no Ds. This is just for wall art, so I don't really want to spend a ton of money on something like this
I used a spray foam paint remover . I don't remember the brand or the name off hand. I'm not home right now but I can look at it when I get back there.
Chief Master Sergeant: Offer to trade your good: F O R to Wild horses for the same letters that the centers are screwed up. They can then make at least one good set to sell and you have your F O R D chrome only.
I pulled the letters off the truck. Stuck the pins in a piece of floral foam and filled the letters with gloss red paint. Then let it dry for a couple days. Looks good.
I used " Klean Strip " brand " aircraft paint remover " . It did a great job and didn't effect the chrome -- but definitely test it on something first as no two Broncos or their parts seem to react the same - LOL
For future reference, a heat gun worked like a champ. The center sections of the Scott Drake letters are like hard plastic. Once heated, it peeled out like a sticker. Thanks for the suggestions.

I took a pick and scratched off all the old original coating, then did the same. I used red testors enamel and "flowed" in to the letters. What I mean is that I brushed it of thick until it leveled out on it's own. This lasts several years until I have to do it again. If its for wall art, it would likely never need to be replaced.
