Removing the Instument Cluster Voltage Regulator

My gauges seem to be bit off at times and I'm considering replacing the "Cluster voltage Regulator" behind the Speedo head. I believe I can see it with a flashlight behind the main gauge. Do I have to remove the whole Speedometer or does it just "pop" off the back of the housing.

Also, have you been able to find this part at the "local" parts store? Thanks, O'77
You can leave the cluster in if you can see what you're doin' . It's either a hex head or slot screw , can't remember .

Yep, you got to rest your head on the brake and clutch pedal, and when your uncomfortable stretch your neck 'til it hurts, then you can see it. :-U
It's not that bad.
If the instruments read low, which mine do, and after I fix the fuel tank switch, I was going to fill the fuel tanks and adjust the small screw on the back of the IVR. Make sure not to touch the terminals and ground at the same time, otherwise you can check the fuses, about as much fun as I can handle. :p :p
Pep Boys, AutoZone, etc... can order the IVR. NAPA here usually has them in stock.
