At a softball game at our church, a player broke her ankle,
After waiting 20 minutes for the ambulance,
(those who live in Fulton County Ga, probably have experienced this)
I drove to a nearby fire station and asked for help, the only truck they had available was a 10 wheeler about 60 feet long.

The monster firetruck couldn't get within 1/4 mile of the field because of all the cars parked so close on each side of the narrow curvy access road.

So I gave 'em a ride.

In my Land Rover Jeep thingy.

I didn't know anyone made a video, and you can see the person the did it, can't decide.. do I film the Bronco, or do I film the injured player??

Why did they need an ambulance for a broken ankle? Could have saved a lot of money and time if someone would have just taken her to the hospital.

Bronco to the rescue is swweeeet. :)

Was a very nasty break,
It was broken in 3 places.

But you're right, it would have been alot faster to
load & go instead of waiting on the ambulance. And that what I would do in a rural area, but who knew it was going to take 50 minutes for them to show up?

Why this is true, unless it is life and death, or a VERY close realitive, in this day and age of SUE EVERYONE, it is better to wait for the ambulance. Too many people get sued because they tried to help someone (I know you said it was a Church game and I'm not saying this would have happened in this case). You know it is bad when most states have tried to pass Good Samatian laws in order to try and help those who might "help" someone in need. It is freakin pathetic, but I see it all the time in my line of work.

It was cool how the camera man couldn't keep it off of the Bronco.

What! There's no crying in softball. She should have rubbed some dirt on it and got back in there. hehe

I broke my ankle a couple years ago. As with any brake, it doesn't start really hurting for about 15 or 20 minutes. That's about how long it took for the ambulance to get me and drop me off at the emergency room. Let me tell ya, that was the most pain I have ever been in. Pain meds weren't helping.

I still have lots of trouble with my ankle. If I set in one spot too long it locks up and gets really stiff, I can't put much pressure on it, it sucks! Especially when one of my kids leave their toys in the floor and I step on it.

I feel her pain, literally.

I noticed the vid.. Do I film the Bronco, or do I film the injured player????

One of the other players was a nurse and they attempted to get the injured player in a car and take em, but the break was in 3 separate places and it was just to painful for the victim to move.
