Anyone use these? Where can I get one? Or better yet anyone made their own out of a washer?...if so what size washer and what size hole are you using in it? What temp are you getting?......bout enough questions!

If you dont know what Im talking about its replacing thermostat with basicly a open restrictor plate.

We used to run them on our race car. We basically made our own. For a SB chebby on oval track we would use one with either a 5/8" - 3/4" hole. Just cut some thin sheetmetal or aluminum. Alot of people used to gut a thermostat, but the hole is usually too big after that.

Not sure how they would work on a street rig. Moroso used to make a kit, but not sure if they do for Ford.

I figure once get the hole the correct size should work great on the strret, never drive it in cold weather, Im not trusting the last couple thermostats Ive bought. Current one seems ok! (most of the time) but on the first crank on it got to 230 before it opened its a 195, few days ago stayed dead on 195 on a 60 mile trip. Then outa nowhere bam 210 before it opened, this was at night right after it had sat for a few hours.
