Rirewall to tail lights harness

Like many of you, most of my Broncos wiring is 40 + years old, somewhat brittle and tattered. I would ideally like to purchase the plug in harness that starts on the far left firewall and terminates at the tail lights. Can I buy just that portion of the electrical harness? If not, can I buy the connecting plugs and remake that simple harness myself? Thanks

Just finished this a month ago.

Plan on adding wire to the plug that goes to your brake warning switch and another 6 inches after it passes the aux tank sending unit if you want some slack for the clips on your firewall.

I used this..........

And some shrink sleeves.

They are stingey with the wire. It's aftermarket, do I need to say more? LOL

Also grab a couple of these.....

Your originals will be hard as a rock and break trying to get the wire plugs through.

Mike, would you buy that wiring harness again? I'd consider making the harness myself but gathering up the plugs(neutral safety, fuel tank connection, the square plug at the start), all takes time. I appreciate your post, good chance I'll purchase that one. After all the quality work I'm putting into my Bronco it kills me to use materials that don't meet up to OEM though. Thanks so much for your help!

Yes, I would. The plugs and connectors are an excellent fit. I guess anymore I'm resigned to knowing I have will to do some "customization" on just about everything. If nothing else it makes you have to clean all your grounds up making the lighting better and the fuel gauges actually show full when they're full instead of 3/4.

Painless quality sounds good but paying $1059.99 to buy all the wiring harnesses and using only the firewall to tail lights section won't work. My engine is just about rebuilt, the C4 trans. is done, I just finished painting the frame rails and the pan from the firewall to the fuel tank with Pors 15. I would like to put in a new harness to the tail lights but would like a harness at least 80 per cent OEM quality. Help!
