Have any of your guys noticed a dimmer than usual low beam. I bought two harnesses from Ryan before the mass buy. My two harnesses were made by him before he switched his parts supplier for the mass buy. I had the issue with both harnesses. My high beams work awesome, but my low beams take about 2-3seconds to switch fully from high back to low, and are really dull. Even more so than stock. At first I thought it was a bad ground, but I switched the grounds on both vehicles several times with no luck. And, the issues was apparent in both vehicles.

I even swapped to the Hella H4s with 80/100w Xenon bulbs in my 72', and still have the issue. Just curious if anyone has had a similar problem with theirs. Its not te ground. Its the harness.

Has anyone else had similar issues?

Maybe you got a bad relay. Another guy had a similar problem-no low beams-I think he swapped the relays and it worked, so he picked up some other relays and was happy afterward. Just an idea.

But would the relays be bad on both harnesses? Or, maybe he put the wrong relays in to begin with. I will check on that. Can one of you guys who has the new "mass buy" harness let me know what relay he is using for the low beams?

I had that problem. Ryan sent me two new relays, I think they were 40amp Bosch and picked the problem. They work great now!

I would check the connection at Ryan's harness to your switch under the hood. Also check your dimmer switch, I had to change mine.

Good luck!

Dimmer switches were fine before the swap, and are still fine now. I will look into the relays though.

Dimmer switch should not be a problem now. It's just a relay selector..

Check the voltage at the fuse, relay in and out, and at the low beam connection at the headlight. If you don't have full battery voltage at the headlight, the "missing" voltage had to be dropped across something else.

I thought about that this morning after posting my last message and checking the relays. I am going to check that tonight when I get home from work. I would be that its getting about 1/2 the normal voltage and that its an issue inside the harness.

Okay, I ran a check on the setup. I also remembered that I still have the driver's side plug intact from the old harness. This is to compare the new harness with the old one in terms of how bright they are. The light on the left is the old stock harness. The light on the right is the new Ryan McCormick harness. There is definitely a problem.

Look at how much more light the stock harness throws compared to the old on low beams. Also, the passenger side has a lot of the light broken up where the driver's light as the full beam where it should be on low beams. Yes, my lights are aligned and adjusted.

Now, on high beams the new harness is slightly brighter than the old harness. Also remember that this was the problem on both of my harnesses, not just this one.

I've had Pneumonia for the last 3 weeks, so I'm a little slow to answer people right now. I sent out your harness a week ago.

Fed Ex # 297304910004078 should be there any day.

I think your harness has a mixed up ground. so it's not going to correct path to ground in the harness. But I won't know untill I look at it.

Damn, sorry to hear about you being sick. Thanks for sending that harness out too. I really appreciate it. Just another reason that you will continue to get my business.

Update=================================

I got my new harness from Ryan today in the mail. Took about 15mins to swap out the old one for this one and it fixed all of my issues. Thanks again Ryan for taking care of this. I can finally finish my write-up on the harness now for Broncoholics.com

BTW, again my harness was not part of the mass buy. The new harness that I just got is the same one that was sold in the mass buy, so all of you mass buy guys shouldn't have anything to worry about.
