Jon,

Is there any way to make search function search for exact wording? I've tried to manipulate the search options, but can't seem to make it do this. I was looking for Oil Pump and had 12 pages of fuel pump and power steering pump to weed through.

Yeah, but shoudn't it be possible from the search function on the site? We flame people for not using the search function, but honestly, it's difficult to find stuff your looking for and I'm as guilty as the last for simply asking versus the frustration of using the search function.

Thanks for the recommendation though.

agreed. Not many people know about the google site: search. Many sites have started including a google search on their page as an alternative to the forum search. I find both do really well in certain searches and fail miserable with others.

Yes, surround the phrase with quotes. Do a search for "oil pump" and it will find threads with that exact phrase. If you don't use quotes it will look for either word, but not necessarily together.

Also, if you're still getting too many results try changing to "Show Posts" instead of the default "Show Threads". The results will than give you only the specific posts where someone typed in "oil pump".

Just tried to search for the word Bronco. No posts or threads found. I get that message a lot on this site while I'm searching.
