Hello,

I ordered new window moldings for my 1969 Bronco and now I am a little confused about how to install the brass rivets that came with my moldings.

I drilled out the old ones but now I am asking any of those people who have done the install using the brass rivets that came with the new moldings for some technical advise.

Pictures or video would certainly help me.

Also if you know of a custom car window shop that maybe able to install them for me in the Los Angeles area please P.M. me.

Thanks

I wound up going to the local hardware store and bought slightly longer rivets as the ones that came with the molding seemed a little short.

I took the arbor out of a aluminum pop rivet and just used the body. The brass ones didn't seen to hold very well .

I used a 1/4" plate steel piece in a vise, put the window channel over the plate and used a punch to roll the rivets from the top side. That worked well for the stock style rivets. FYI... It takes two people to hold everything while your punching the rivets.
