Hello,

In case you are interested or run into a similar problem.

I live in a city where car breaks are common. I had a very mediocre stereo smashed and grabbed out of my tacoma last fall.

My Bronco is very original with stock AM radio and speaker and I am trying to avoid any permanent mods. I want tunes in it but can't have anything showing so I am putting in a mini amp, bluetooth dongle merged with a y cable and newer speaker.

Amp: $27

Y-Connector: $4

Bluetooth Dongle: $39.95
http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00JAPZRH2/ref=ox_sc_act_title_3?ie=UTF8&psc=1&smid=A2IQLUXL6F3Z99

-I am going to cut the power to the radio and leave it in place.
-run the power to the 12v dongle
-cut the 12v adapter on the amp and run it to the power
-run the dongle into the y adapter into the right channel
-swap the speakers, save the old one and wire the new one to the right channel
-connect to dongle with my phone and mp3s/streaming apps

Hopefully this will help someone. If I am missing anything, please let me know.

That is a solid choice too, I bookmarked it for potential other projects. The only thing is that is it a bit bigger to put under the dash and you would have to mount the control interface to be visible.

My plan is to be completely hidden due to people looking in the truck and also I want to draw very low amperage so I don't have to change the stock alternator yet.
