Hello,
In case you are interested or run into a similar problem.
I live in a city where car breaks are common. I had a very mediocre stereo smashed and grabbed out of my tacoma last fall.
My Bronco is very original with stock AM radio and speaker and I am trying to avoid any permanent mods. I want tunes in it but can't have anything showing so I am putting in a mini amp, bluetooth dongle merged with a y cable and newer speaker.
Amp: $27

Y-Connector: $4

Bluetooth Dongle: $39.95

-I am going to cut the power to the radio and leave it in place.
-run the power to the 12v dongle
-cut the 12v adapter on the amp and run it to the power
-run the dongle into the y adapter into the right channel
-swap the speakers, save the old one and wire the new one to the right channel
-connect to dongle with my phone and mp3s/streaming apps
Hopefully this will help someone. If I am missing anything, please let me know.
Tony
