Funny story. That's how I got into building cages. Bob was before the internet and aftermarket parts. I was like a kid in a candy store every time I went to his yard. Original fenders stacked in several rows in the attic, same with doors. Boxes and boxes of every imaginable oem part you could dream of. Outside was a dozen or so broncos in all stages and all for sale. Another building full of running gear, motors etc. I remember bringing in boxes of parts that I had in trade. Steering wheels, horn buttons, you name it.
After purchasing a couple of his cages, I asked him if he could widen the "A" pillar since the egg on my head couldn't take any more abuse. It wasn't profitable, so I decided to take on the project myself. Borrowing the good paints and making it better. We sold about 300 cages before the crash in 08 which drove the shipping prices through the roof. I could ship a welded cage to the east coast for $180. Crazy
The radius arms were another story. I told Bob he needed to put a bend in his arms for tire clearance issues (originally they were all straight). A buddy of mine has a set of the original arms that he just put in a brake and bent (crude). I drew up the idea to cut the arm and weld the diamond gusset which is what is sold today. Bob probably doesn't remember those conversations, which if fine. I always enjoyed working with him. Few people know who he is, even though he's one of the oldest bronco vendors out there (back in the KbarS days). As a matter of fact, I purchased my first bronco from BroncoBob back in '98 for $2500. Using all of Bobs parts, I built my first bronco. My wife nearly shot me when I brough that beauty home. I told her will make a silk purse out of a pigs ear

And did just that.......wish I could remember what I did with those cut outs
